The SA Pecan Journal is a quarterly newsletter which only SAPPA members receive.  It is an up-to-date journal about developments in the pecan orchard and in the pecan producing industry.  A whole range of topics are covered including fertilising, planting, the pecan market, marketing, pecan diseases and much more.  The journal also gives feedback on national as well as regional events and special events.  There is also ample space for industry related advertising.

Membership is for a calendar year, new members can join at anytime.

Producers pay R100 entry fee and R1000 annual subscription.
Processors / Packaging / Nursery Members pay R100 entry fee and R3000 annual subscription.
Research / Academic Institutions and Corporations pay R100 annual subscription.

Members fees cover subscription for all SA Pecan Newsletters (quarterly), pecan leaflets, businesslike information concerning the SAPPA eg, district representatives, nursery lists, constitution, nut grading. SA Pecan contains information about future regional meetings, symposiums, annual meetings, news items of interest, short research articles from around the world, advertisements and general information concerning pecan nuts.

Application for membership by all new members

If you would like to become a member of the South African Pecan Producer's Association then please print the Application Form or contact the office if you would like the form emailed, faxed or posted to you. 

Your application will be dealt with as quickly as possible.  Please make sure your membership fees are included in the application.  You will be contacted by the secretary as soon as your application has been approved by the board (via telephone, email or post). The signed application form for membership shall constitute an acknowledgement by the member that he agrees to be bound by the Constitution and the Rules and Regulations of the Association.
