Biological remedies: remember the packaging
The South African Bioproducts Organisation (SABO) reminds growers and suppliers that although certain biological active ingredients break down naturally, their packaging still requires responsible management.
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) addresses responsibility for products and packaging at the end of their useful life, including support for collection and recovery systems.
For pecan growers, the practical message is simple: follow product instructions and ask suppliers how empty containers and other packaging should be handled and collected. Responsible use of biological remedies includes managing the waste left behind.
